Tidal Clock
This uniquely designed clock lets you gauge upcoming tide patterns, empowering you to seamlessly weave ocean rhythms into your daily plans.
This video illustrates the usage of the clock. As the dial is turned a certain number of hours ahead the clock displays where the tide will be based upon how much of the circle is covered.

Design Details
I decided on a projector type of clock which would allow someone living there to check when they would need to wake up based on the tided before bed. I prototyped with many different 3d printed versions of lenses to project through.
I was inspired Nova Scotia where my family is from which has extremely large tides which often impact the way one times their day.
I then used a plastic tube to project through and 3d printed supports for the lenses.
I used a servo motor to move the circle which displays the tide levels, a stepper motor to create the wave like motion of the projection, an LED strip for the lights, and a rotary encoder for the dial. This was powered by a power supply and ran by an Arduino.
